In cooperation with six partners organisations, Platform Spartak will organize a Youth Exchange on
healthy lifestyles in youngsters, an important issue in both current grassroots initiatives and official EU policy. Aptly titled
Act in a healthy way, this project will bring together young people (aged 16 to 25) from Serbia, Poland, Belarus, Macedonia, Turkey and the Netherlands and introduce them to healthy ways of living through theatre-based learning methods. The project will take place from
6-16 of July 2012. It's an initiative of Spartak's new chairman Sven Kooiman, together with
Generator (Serbia), Horizons (Poland), Fialta (Belarus) and Istanbul Koletkis Sanatlar Kültür Dernegi (Turkey). The project will be hosted in
Struga, Macedonia (at the shore of Lake Ohrid) by our longtime partner organisation
creACTive.
The general objectives are:
- To promote young people's active citizenship
- To reach mutual understanding between young people in different countries
- To promote a healthy lifestyle
- To promote creativity and entrepreneurship
During the project, the particpants will work in an international team; teambuilding being one of the most important learning aims. Learning itself will be through non-formal methods, such as simulation games and discussions. The final goal the participants will work towards during the 10 days of the project is performing a play at the end of the week.
If you feel this project is the thing for you, don't hesitate, let us know. We are still looking for Dutch (meaning: registered in the Netherlands) participants. Contact
Sven Kooiman for more information and how to sign up.
