Donau is a magazine about Eastern Europe, published by Platform Spartak. In three editions per year, Donau features news reports, interviews and background stories on cultures, societies and politics from Hungary to Greece and from Albania tot Turkey.

Wall of ideas during YALI
Platform Spartak's new programme Streets – Mapping and connecting - that will run from 2012 to 2014 - has kicked off with the seminar Young Artists Linked In (YALI). On May 8 and 9, 50 artists, representatives of cultural organizations supporting art prodution, and cultural policy makers from Poland, Slovenia, Croatia, Bulgaria and the Netherlands gather in The Hague to share experiences about cultural entrepreneurship in their national and local environment and to find common grounds for collaboration in inspiring new cross-border cultural projects. The goal is to strengthen local scenes, as well as connect them into a European-wide network. The conclusions and recommendations of the seminar will be collected in a report that will be disseminated widely and also published here.
The seminar itself is for invitees only, but on May 9 in the evening everybody can experience the results of it during New European Underground, Spartak’s public celebration of the Day of Europe.
Participating organizations: LokalPatriot Institution (Novo Mesto, SI), A25 Cultural Foundation (Sofia, BG), Youth Peace Group Danube (Vukovar, HR) and Tranzyt Foundation (Poznan, PL).
